A Parable of Prodigals: lessons in extravagance

The parable of the prodigal son is perhaps the best known of Jesus parables, the prodigal most often identified as the younger son who wasted his inheritance by extravagant living. There are other extravagances - excesses - in this parable: the extravagance of the elder son, the extravagance of the Father, and then those of the reader. We will work through the varied prodigals using the following outline:
● A Reading of the Parable of Prodigals (March 2)
● A Reckless Extravagance (March 9)
● A Religious Extravagance (March 16)
● A Righteous Extravagance (March 23)
● A Prodigal Reading of the Parables (March 30)
